The Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI) provides cash assistance to senior, blind, and disabled legal non-citizens ineligible for Supplemental Social Security Income or State Supplemental Payment (SSI/SSP) due to their immigration status.
Eligibility Requirements
Immigrant/Refugee,
Must reside in California. Must be 65+ or blind or disabled, must be a non-citizen. Must be ineligible for SSI/SSP solely due to your immigration status. Income limits apply.
Documentation Needed to Enroll
You must provide proof of age, identity, immigration/non-citizen status, SSI ineligibility or pending SSI application status, proof of residency, proof of income, property/resources, and affidavits of support (if applicable).
