BHS offers medical detoxification in a residential setting with 24-hour medical supervision. The process is designed to make the participants as comfortable as possible, with treatment lasting on average 10-14 days. Clients receive education about addiction, self-help programs including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, and receive referrals for continuing care and other community support.
