Napa Emergency Women's Services (NEWS) provides a program called Survivor Pet Outreach Team (SPOT) that provides temporary shelter solutions for survivors' pets while they are in the NEWS emergency shelter. SPOT helps women leave their abusers without having a fear that their pet would be neglected or otherwise abused in their absence.
