USDA Rural Development's Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program helps low- to moderate-income households obtain safe and sanitary housing in rural areas. USDA provides loan guarantees to approved lenders who are then able to offer mortgage loans that are 100 percent financed, which means there is no down payment required. Eligible applicants can purchase existing homes or build new homes.
