College of San Mateo (CSM) offers several levels (except the beginning level) of English as a Second Language courses. Classes are designed to help non-native speakers improve their reading, writing, grammar, listening, and speaking skills.

Eligibility Requirements
New and returning students who have not taken a class within the San Mateo County Community College District for one or more years must complete the online admission application, orientation, and ESL assessment.
