The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year lifestyle modification program that helps adults at risk for developing type 2 diabetes gain tools for healthy living. Participants learn strategies and participate in healthy eating, increasing physical activity, and losing a modest amount of weight to reduce their risk.

Have BMI >24.9 (for Asians >22.9). Have Prediabetes verified via a confirmatory blood value, Gestational Diabetes during previous pregnancy, or a qualifying risk score. A current or previous health history of type 2 diabetes does not qualify.,
