The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program is a one-year lifestyle modification program that helps adults at risk for developing type 2 diabetes gain tools for healthy living. Participants learn strategies and participate in healthy eating, increasing physical activity, and losing a modest amount of weight to reduce their risk.

Eligibility descriptionParticipant must have BMI ≥ 25, be at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes, a clinical diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes (GDM) during previous pregnancy, or a qualifying risk score.
