The children's department at the Alameda Library hosts book club discussion groups for children in grades 6-7. Book club participants are chosen by lottery and meet once a month to discuss a new book in a small group setting facilitated by a librarian.

Eligibility Requirements
Participants are expected to have finished the assigned title before the meeting and be ready to participate in the discussion. This is a peer-driven club for kids who like to read and talk about books, not a reading-level or reading intervention club.,
