The Castro Youth Housing Initiative is a two-year program that helps gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) youth find supportive, independent housing in the Castro District. The program includes case management, life skills training, referrals for mental health and/or substance abuse counseling, educational support, and employment training. This initiative includes a housing program just for transgender youth.
