Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law (HCBFL) provides legal assistance to survivors of domestic violence. The Center also helps clients obtain appropriate orders for child custody and visitation.

Eligibility Requirements
Latino, Domestic abuse survivor, Resident of Los Angeles County, Must show limited funds with proof of monthly wages or other sources of income and any property, live in Los Angeles County, have a family law or domestic violence case in Los Angeles County, and must be able to come to the office for assistance.

Cost Details
HBCFL services are free, but clients are responsible for paying court costs, such as filing fees. However, the court may waive a portion or all of these fees if the person is eligible for the fee waiver guidelines.
