Information Status
NMLA provides free legal services to income-eligible New Mexico residents in civil matters related to housing, income, medical care, family safety, and more. Depending on the case, services may include education, advice, and full representation. NMLA does not usually provide assistance with criminal cases.

Eligibility Requirements
Annual household income must be at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. Staff are not able to assist every kind of legal issue and cannot provide an attorney to everyone who qualifies for services.
