Coop Tech's introduction to building maintenance is an entry level course that provides students with the hands-on experiences necessary to perform basic building maintenance functions. The curriculum consists of four units of study: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and Janitorial. The course focuses on the use of basic hand and power tools and the skills needed to assist building maintenance crews in residential and commercial buildings. Students will also be prepared for entry level janitorial services. This course is offered at STEP in Canarsie Brooklyn. Classes meet in the morning (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM) or afternoon (12:30 - 3 PM) and is a one year course.
