Breakthrough San Francisco at SF Day School is an after school and summer academic enrichment program that begins in 5th grade and continues through 12th grade for highly motivated, under-served students, who wish to attend college.

Schedule

During the school year 5th-8th graders attend Breakthrough Mondays, Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays (4:30pm-6:30 pm). High school students attend monthly Saturday workshops. During the summers, 5th-8th graders attend a six week program from 8:30am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Single parent, Students must meet at least 3 of the 5 criteria: Qualify for free/reduced lunch at school, 1st in the family to attend 4-year college, speak a language other than English at home, live in a single-parent household, attend an under-resourced school in SF., Youth, Grade: 4th – 5th
