Operation Access (OA) enables uninsured adults to receive vital surgical and specialty care. Eligible individuals are uninsured and unable to get coverage, over 19 years old, ineligible for MediCal or Medicare, live in the local community, are income-eligible, have minimal savings, and have been referred for a medically necessary outpatient procedure. Patients are referred to OA from a network of over 100 community clinics in nine Bay Area counties.
