Alameda County Community Food Bank
Oakland, CA Verified Information
The Alameda County Community Food Bank distributes food through a network of 240 member agencies - food pantries, soup kitchens, child-care centers, senior centers, after-school programs, and other community organizations - as well as its own direct programs.
"They are strict. For example, they tell you that you must bring ID or proof of residency, or that you must show ID when you get to the pantry they set you up with that day, and that you can only have 1 bag of groceries, etc. etc. Then you get to the pantry and the pantry doesn't check your ID and gives you whatever you want."
