Take courses at CUNY to begin a career as a Hemodialysis Technician

BMCC in partnership with Dialysis4Career have modified our Hemodialysis Training to include both virtual, instructor led lessons along with in-person clinical. The course is 100 hours total. 60 hours will be virtual with 40 hours in-person clinical working with the hemodialysis machines at our 25 Broadway and CUNY in The Heights location. The course is designed to cover the anatomy and physiology of the kidney, common causes of End Stage Renal Disease, principles of hemodialysis procedure, treatment options, commonly used hemodialysis terms and abbreviations, patient's assessment, nutritional and social needs of End Stage Renal Disease patients, vascular access and cannulation techniques, infection control, medications, medical and technical complication.
