Take courses at CUNY to become a Medical Assistant Specialist

The BMCC Medical Assistant program prepares students to handle a wide-range of health care services and tasks including administrative practices and clinical patient procedures for the private and public sectors as well as hospitals. Courses include Fundamentals of Medical Assisting, Medical Terminology/Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Office Business Practice (including billing/coding and Electronic Health Records), Clinical Practice, Medical Assistant Internship and Certification exam review. Upon completion of this program, students will take a review class to prepare to take the National Certification exam.
