This comprehensive 50-hour program will prepare students to work as a pharmacy technician in a retail or other pharmacy setting and to take the CPhT certification exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course hours - 50 plus optional 80 hours clinical externship. Prerequisite: HS diploma or GED/ TASC.
