Cost or feesYou may be required to reimburse the County of Marin for services rendered, whether or not the petition is granted. Court costs are $150 per case. You may contact the Court and/or the Public Defender's Office to apply for a fee waiver.
Eligibility descriptionConvicted of a felony/misdemeanor and finished probation; not serving a sentence for/charged with another offense; and not currently on probation/parole/supervision. Individuals convicted of a misdemeanor with no probation may also apply after a year.

Call and ask for the Expungement Division. You will be referred to someone who can assist with questions, assist you in preparing the forms, or who can represent you at any stage of the process.
