The Youth Law Academy (YLA) is a three-year, after-school program for Oakland high school students. Youth learn about leadership development, receive mentoring from judges and attorneys, practice mock trials, and receive help with college and financial aid applications and the SATs. Youth who complete this program and enroll in college can continue to receive mentoring to apply for law or graduate school.
