Children 18 years and younger who are being treated at Long Beach hospital and their families are eligible. Eligibility is determined by the child's illness and the distance the family must travel for the child's treatment.

A hospital staff social worker helps each family apply and will then submit the request to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California does not accept applications directly from families.
