Information Status
Colorado Works is Colorado's Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Through the program, participants receive help becoming self-sufficient by strengthening their family's economic and social stability. Under Colorado Works, participants can receive monthly cash assistance payments, help with emergency household expenses, and/or services such as counseling and job training. Colorado Works is delivered locally through each county's department of health and human services.
Eligibility Requirements

Parents,
1) Pregnant or have at least one dependent child under 18 with more than 50% custody of that child; 2) Meet income limits; 3) If you have a child with an absent parent, you will be required to apply for and cooperate with Child Support Services.
Documentation Needed to Enroll
1) Proof of identity; 2) Social Security numbers for all household members; 3) Proof of any income, including non-work income; 4) Proof of any expenses; 5) Proof of pregnancy, if applicable.
