The Cultural Brokers program facilitates communication between families, social workers in the Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS), and probation officers in the Juvenile Probation Department(JPD). Families and youth are referred by DFCS or JPD and receive services for a minimum of 2 months and maximum of 13 months depending on the case type.
