Special Start is a long-term support program. It is designed to address the health, developmental, and social support needs of babies who were hospitalized in an Alameda County Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Eligibility Requirements
Parents,
Resident of Alameda County,
Infant was hospitalized in an Alameda County Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or infant that has a minimum of two medical and two social risk factors identified by a screening form and joint process at major county NICUs.,
