The Caregiver Respite Program provides elders one on one assistance by a trained volunteer. Services include door-through-door transportation to and from medical and social service appointments; errands; light household chores or yard work; home visitation; phone reassurance; respite for family caregivers; information and referrals; and assistance in filling out Medi-Cal or other needed forms. Volunteers do not provide personal (bathing, dressing) or medical assistance. No one is turned away for a lack of funds.
