Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC)
Information Status
Peer Counseling Services provides emotional and educational support to persons with disabilities by staff who can relate to having a disability. Counselors assess the member’s current situation, level of independence, and the impact the disability has on their self-esteem and their relationships with friends and family. Ongoing sessions explore the member’s feelings, attitudes and values affect the member's goal towards independence.
