Information Status
The Division of Substance Abuse and Addiction Medicine offers the Opiate Treatment Outpatient Program (OTOP) to provide methadone detoxification and maintenance for heroin-dependent individuals, in addition to methadone dosing and counseling services.

Patient with Opioid Use Disorder, must agree to enter substance use treatment.,

Cost Details
OTOP accepts patients who have or are eligible for public insurance in the county including San Francisco Medi-cal, Healthy San Francisco and Healthy Workers. Veterans are also eligible for care. It does not accept private insurance nor self-pay.
