If you believe an eviction or attempted eviction violates the San Francisco Rent Ordinance, you can file a Report of Alleged Wrongful Eviction, available from the San Francisco Rent Board. Once the report is filed, the Board sends a notice to the landlord and then investigates the report. Tenants are strongly advised to obtain legal counsel.
