San Francisco Community Health Center
Information Status
Through the San Francisco Community Health Center's needle exchange and disposal program, people who inject drugs can access sterile equipment and can safely dispose of bio-waste. Needle exchange programs are intended to prevent the spread of the HIV virus and other blood-borne diseases, such as Hepatitis B and C, among injection drug users and their sexual partners.
