Acknowledge paternity for biological fathers
New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) - Epidemiology and Response Division
In cases where the mother of a child was unmarried at the time of the child's birth and no other name is listed on the birth certificate as the father, biological fathers can request to add their name to their child's birth certificate through the Department of Health's Bureau of Vital Statistics.
