San Mateo Medical Center’s Psychiatric Emergency Services serves adults, seniors, and youth who are able to get to emergency psychiatric assistance during a crisis, or who have been detained involuntarily (5150). The Center provides acute psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, and referral services, and is the first step to inpatient admissions.
