This course provides an overall view of the fundamentals of medical and pharmaceutical terminology plus pharmaceutical calculations, concepts of pharmacology and medicinal therapy as it relates to anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. Students learn about laws, ethics and standards required in the pharmacy profession and get experience in an on-site hospital and retail setting. (120 clock hours). Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Pharmacy Technician exam.
