This course prepares students to take the New York State Emergency Medical Technician examination. Students learn basic life saving techniques including scene safety, patient assessment, management of fractures, bleeding control, movement of patients and oxygen administration. Becoming an EMT is a requirement to become a paramedic. New York State vouchers may be available for this program.
