UCSF Children's Hospital Oakland's Gentle Hands program helps parents gain confidence and skill in caring for their infant in intensive care. Parents are taught by child development specialists ways to safely touch and interact with infants, which can improve feeding, sleep, and reduce length of stay in the hospital.
