Walk-in legal intake happens every Thursday from 1:00 – 4:30 pm. The first intake starts at 1:30 pm and everyone is seen on a first come, first serve basis. SRLP encourages you to come at 1:00 pm because people who come too late may not always be seen. Remember to bring all of your relevant legal documents and identification documents if you have them. (You may request an intake over the phone due to emergency issues or other issues that make an in person meeting impractical.) When you come to SRLP, buzz the 5th floor and say you are here for legal intake. You will be buzzed in; after you board the elevator, SRLP will then call it up. You will sign in at the front desk. A legal advocate and/or an attorney will then meet with you to discuss your legal issues. The office is between 6th and 7th Avenues on the north side of 24th Street. The office is located near the following trains – the C/E at 23rd and 8th, the 1 train at 23rd and 7th, the M/F trains at 23rd and 6th, and N/R/W at 23rd and 5th.
