The Superior Court of San Mateo County provides a mediation/child custody recommending counseling session for parents who are trying to resolve custody and visitation issues. During the appointment, both parents meet with a professional who will help the parents reach an agreement. If the parents reach an agreement, they may receive help drafting a stipulation and Court order.
