Los Angeles County Department of Community Development Commission Information Status

First-Time Homebuyers Programs provide no or low-interest loans and federal income tax credit for first-time home buyers. There are four programs with varying eligibility and term conditions: First Home Mortgage Program, Home Ownership Program (HOP), Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program, and Reissue Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program.

Eligibility Requirements
Resident of Los Angeles or Orange County, The applicants must be first-time homebuyers of a principal residence. Applicants must complete an 8-hour homebuyer education seminar from an approved HUD counseling agency. More information on property/income requirements is included in provided links., Adults (18+)
