The Independent Living Program (ILP) provides life skills classes for foster care youth aged 14-21. Class topics include employment, education, housing, and money management.

Eligibility Requirements
Foster youth (current or former),
Resident of San Mateo County,
Current foster youth in out-of-home placement with Child Welfare or Probation.,
Adults (18+),
Youth,
Age: 14 – 21
Documentation Needed to Enroll
To refer a youth placed out of county, a Social Worker or Probation Officer is required to submit a referral form and the Transitional Independent Living Plan (TILP).
