Information Status
The Guardian Scholars Program helps students exiting the foster care system by providing a comprehensive support program to help them complete a GED, achieve an A.A. degree, complete a certificate program or transfer to a four-year college. Services include priority registration, academic and personal counseling, textbook and transportation assistance, clothing closet and scholarship information.

Eligibility Requirements
Foster youth (current or former),
Must be a CA resident. Must be current or former foster youth that was in care for one full year and 18 -25 at time of initial application.,
Adults (18+)
Documentation Needed to Enroll
"Ward of the Court" or "Out of Home Placement " verification letter or other verification which notes applicant was in care for 6 or more months; requested from Social Worker, AB12 staff, Probation Officer or by CA Foster Care Ombudsperson.
