OHA offers the MTW Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) where a portion of the rent is subsidized. Tenants in this program can select a unit in the neighborhood of their choice and are allowed to move out of the city or state and continue using their voucher after one year of continuous residence in Oakland.
