Open Door Legal Information Status

ODL provides free legal representation for civil cases for eligible San Franciscans. Areas of representation cover family, housing, employment, immigration, estate plans, elder law, and consumer law. They do not represent employers against employees, landlords against tenants, people needing help in criminal court, people appearing in traffic court, or people needing help with child protective services matters.

Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Walk-in Hours.
Eligibility Requirements
Resident of San Francisco districts 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 10, or 11, Must have a 50% or lower Area Median Income (AMI).
