The San Francisco Rent Board provides a form that can be used to file a Report of Alleged Wrongful Eviction if tenants believe an eviction or attempted eviction violates the San Francisco Rent Ordinance. Once the report is submitted, the Rent Board sends a notice to the landlord and then investigates the report. Tenants are strongly advised to obtain legal counsel.
